A.The origin of ultrasonic metal welding machine

It is similar to friction welding, but different, ultrasonic welding time is very short, temperature is lower than recrystallization, it is different with pressure welding, because the static pressure is much less than pressure welding. It is generally believed that in the initial stage of the Ultrasonic welding process, the tangential vibration removes oxides from the metal surface and the repeated micro welding and destruction of the protrusions of the rough surface increase the contact area, at the same time, the temperature of the welding zone increases and the plastic deformation occurs at the interface of the welding piece. In this way, under the action of contact pressure, close to each other to the atomic gravity can act on the distance, that is, the formation of a solder joint. Welding time is too long, or ultrasonic amplitude is too large will make the welding strength decline, or even damage.

B.Principle of ultrasonic metal welding machine

Ultrasonic metal welding is to use tens of thousands of high-frequency vibration waves per second to transfer to the surface of two metal parts to be welded, and then apply a certain pressure, so that the metal surface friction between the formation of molecular layer fusion, for the purpose of welding.

C.Features and advantages and disadvantages of ULTRASONIC METAL WELDING MACHINE:

FEATURES: 

1)-two welded objects overlap, by ultrasonic vibration pressure joint solid form, joint time is short, and joint part does not produce casting structure (rough surface) defects.

2) compared with resistance welding, ultrasonic welding has the advantages of long die life, less die repair and replacement time, and easy to realize automation. 

3)-ultrasonic welding can be carried out between different metals of the same metal, which consumes much less energy than electric welding. 

4) compared with other pressure welding, ultrasonic welding requires less pressure and less than 10% deformation, while cold pressure welding requires 40%-90% deformation. 

5)-ultrasonic welding does not require pre-treatment of the welded surface and post-treatment of the welded surface as other welding processes do. 

6)-ultrasonic welding does not need flux, metal filler, external heating and other external factors. 

7)-ultrasonic welding can minimize the temperature effect of the material (the temperature of the welding zone does not exceed 50% of the absolute melting temperature of the metal being welded) , thus not changing the structure of the metal, so it is suitable for welding applications in the electronic field.

Advantages: 

High Fusion strength, close to cold working, non-annealing, no oxidation marks, good conductivity after welding, very low or near zero resistance coefficient, low requirements for welding metal surface, oxidation or electroplating can be welded; Welding time is short, do not need any flux, gas, solder. No spark welding, environmental protection and safety.
